Frequently asked questions
Use a waterproof wet bag to store both clean and used cloth nappies while you're out. Baby Bare's double wet bags feature two snap-together bags that can be used together or separately. The dual compartments make it easy to separate clean and dirty cloth nappies or organise wipes, creams, clothing and accessories.
Simply place soiled nappies inside the bag until you get home, then transfer the used nappies into your nappy storage and wash both the nappies and wet bag as part of your normal washing routine.
Wet bags are designed to contain moisture and odours, making them ideal for travel.
A good starting point is 20–30 reusable cloth wipes if you plan to use them full-time. This gives you enough for nappy changes throughout the day, with plenty available between washes every 2–3 days.
If you're only using cloth wipes occasionally or when you're at home, 10–15 wipes may be enough to get started.
Baby Bare Reusable Cloth Wipes are made from soft, absorbent bamboo and are gentle on delicate skin. They're available in rainbow colour sets or single-colour packs of five, making it easy to colour-code wipes for different uses (such as nappy changes, hands and faces, or messy meals). They also fit perfectly inside our Mini Wet Bags, making them easy to keep organised at home or when you're out and about.
Top tip: Most parents find they use 2–4 wipes per nappy change, so having around 20–30 wipes ensures you won't run out before wash day.
While the initial cost of purchasing cloth wipes may be higher than disposable wipes, they are more cost-effective in the long run. Cloth wipes can be washed and reused multiple times, which means you don't have to constantly purchase new wipes. Baby Bare cloth wipes are one of the best value wipe options on the market. Whilst you might need 3-4 disposable wipes for a clean up, our wipes are very grippy, thick and more effective than disposables.
In this blog post, we explore the benefits of using cloth wipes instead of disposable wipes.
Baby Bare bibs and smocks are designed to be washable and reusable. They are made from waterproof materials like PUL, which makes them easy to clean by simply wiping them down or machine washing them with your regular laundry. How to wash your Baby Bare Bibs & Smocks:
- Wipe it down: For minor messes, a quick wipe with a damp cloth can clean the smock effectively.
- Machine wash: For more significant messes, you can toss the smock into the washing machine. The smocks are designed to wash easily with your other clothes.
- Air dry: It's best to air dry the smock to help prolong its life.
Baby-led weaning can be wonderfully messy! A long sleeve bib offers much more coverage than a standard bib, helping to protect your little one's clothes from food while making clean-up quicker and easier afterwards.
